Love Stories

It looked like it would rain all week long. It was my only scheduled outdoor wedding this year- Sarah & Matt planned the ceremony for the beautiful Mellon Park, in Oakland, and we were all keeping our fingers crossed. Woke up that day and it was overcast, but dry, and beautiful, and we couldn’t have asked for a better day.

So many things I loved about this day.  The classic walled gardens of Mellon Park with elegant styling of the wedding party. The meaningful, personal touches of the ceremony. The decoration details at the Pittsburgh Aviary (Sarah made & hand-lettered all of those signs, oh my goodness.)  Taking time for great portrait locations- even if it meant lots of walking.  Meeting a screech owl.  Not only did Sarah and Matt plan a gorgeous wedding, but they were a delight to work with as well, lots of fun & with great ideas & just beautiful in the way they fit together.
