Heinz Chapel and LeMont Wedding | Breanna and Adam

Breanna and Adam included so many beautiful, meaningful details. The bottle of wine and the Cadillac that Breanna’s father had set aside twenty+ years ago for her wedding day, and how her family pulled together to make that happen. Handmade bouquets. Love letters before the ceremony. Riding the Duquesne Incline, in memory of her father. It rained- a lot- and some plans had to change, but they smiled through it, all day long, and they were still dancing & laughing long after the sun had set on Mount Washington. It was a beautiful wedding day & there was so much joy and humor in it.

Pittsburgh Athletic Association Wedding | Amanda and Lee

Amanda and Lee were married at Heinz Chapel and had their reception at the gorgeous Pittsburgh Athletic Association. What to say about these two? I don’t want it to sound like hyperbole. Amanda and Lee are graceful and calm and incredibly kind, and their happiness together is contagious. It’s no surprise that their wedding was classic and elegant and beautiful, and it was truly a joy to be involved.

I love that they opted for to have a First Look, which gave us so much more time to get amazing portraits. I totally understand that not everyone wants to break with tradition and see each other before the ceremony, but I can honestly say that there are a lot of shots we never would have gotten otherwise- it is definitely something to consider for evening weddings, especially those in the late fall and winter.

I also have to say thank-you to the staff at the Pittsburgh Athletic Association, were the First Look and reception were held- they were all incredibly efficient & helpful, and made working there a pleasure.

I’ll be seeing Amanda & Lee in just a few weeks, at a friend’s wedding. Can’t wait to see them again, and looking forward to weddings to come. :)

Wedding at Heinz Chapel

This was one of the first weddings that I ever photographed, some time ago… my style and technique have come a long way since then, but it was a beautiful day and we still got some lovely photos… Kim and Matt got married on a windy, rainy summer day at Heinz Chapel, and I think the skies cleared up just in time for their portraits. :) Although I could have shot in that chapel all day, it’s such a lovely location.
